Material World

Bundles of quilting fabric, destined to be part of someone's family history. A well-made quilt can last decades.

Brentmoor Heath at Sunset

An evening stroll around the heath near my home resulted in these low-key images. All were shot with a 50mm f1.7 on an E-P1, ISO 200, mainly at f2 or f2.8.

Lady with Blue Parasol

2012 Olympics - Women's Road Race

We joined the crowds at LEatherhead for some close up action in the Women's Road Race (where Lizzie Armistead secured a very well-deserved silver medal). The photos relied a little on getting the settings right before the riders arrived, as all of the action happened so quickly. The results are very tight crops of the main photos, but hopefully captured the mood of the day.
